 Over 330 Sri Lankan Fishermen have been taken into foreign custody said Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Rajith Senarathne.

Addressing Parliament yesterday (07) the Minister said that measures needed to release the fisherman are been taken while discussion are also been held with the Indian Government on their release.

The minister said this answering a query made by UNP Colombo Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake, while he also said the 02 Indian Fishing companies has sent representatives to discuss measure to lessen on arrest of fishermen.

Meanwhile 02 Chinese companies have expressed their willingness to take part in the Sri Lanka fisheries industry stated the Minister.
